Moving to Kingstown

Today we look at moving to Kingstown in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from Warsaw in Poland. We highlight cost of living and other major differences likely to be experienced in our series of short blogs on moving between different international locations.
In Kingstown people speak English. In Warsaw people speak Polish.

Kingstown is the chief port of Saint Vincent, and the capital of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Warsaw is the capital and largest city of Poland. Kingstown is a centre for the island's agricultural industry and a port of entry for tourists. Exports include bananas, coconuts, and arrowroot. Warsaw is home to many national institutions and government agencies, as well as to many domestic and international companies. Warsaw produces 12% of Poland's national income. Warsaw has the biggest concentration of electronics and high-tech industry in Poland.

The overall cost of living rank in Kingstown is 201 out of 300 global locations, which equates it with low cost of living locations.  An expatriate moving from Warsaw to Kingstown will experience a change in cost of living of -7.8%.
In terms of the hardship people are likely to experience, assessed in global terms, Kingstown is ranked as a some hardship location with a hardship index of 20% compared to Warsaw with a hardship index of 20% which is a some hardship location.
