Moving to Fort-de-France

Today we look at moving to Fort-de-France in Martinique from Vaduz in Liechtenstein. We highlight cost of living and other major differences likely to be experienced in our series of short blogs on moving between different international locations.

Country Climate: Subtropical tempered by trade winds; moderately high humidity; rainy season (June to October); vulnerable to devastating cyclones (hurricanes) every eight years on average.

Country Terrain: Mountainous with indented coastline; dormant volcano.

Major Languages: French (official), Creole.

Major Religions: Christianity.
